MERRY X'MAS WITH LOVE...

X'mas came and went. Like i written the last time, I love festives seasons becoz to me it's family time. It's bonding and sharing time. And this year was no different. last weekend was a busy long weekend.
We celebrated X'Mas day itself at my SIL's house, with the tree, presents, food and all. lovely...

Boxing Day was spent at my side of my family at my cousin's house with a BBQ dinner. That's like a total chaos becoz so many little ones running around. You see, all of Faye's cousins from my side are all around her age 1-4 years old with one at 9yrs. Except for Elaine whom is a grown little lady of 24yrs (Right, Elaine?).
Faye loved every bit of it, her being a social butterfly (hahah)...

Sunday was spent recuperating with ourselves at home and at Subang Parade. And Faye opened her presents. She got her first Barbie doll, from her Ku-Mah.

Merry X'mas everyone. Hope you had a great X'Mas celebration, just like we had!!!!

Taman Negara 2009

Came back from Taman Negara about 2 weeks ago (4th Dec - 6th Dec 09). It was our Zenith company trip (3 days 2 nites). Stayed at the Mutiara Resort Taman Negara. This was my 2nd trip there. First trip was years and years ago, with a bunch of my collegues (a few ex and one or two still current). We stayed at the dorm unit then, being the young cikus bunch we were then. This time around, because it's company trip, we stayed at chalets with 2 roomies assigned to one chalet. Didn't take any pictures of the trip, because silly me took my camera there, BUT.....i realised when i was there, that i left my memory card in my notebook back home. Silly silly silly......
Anyways, the trip was ok la...The company was great. But the environment...errr....ok la..mainly becuase i m not a huge fan of jungles and forests, and trekings into the jungles. Never was and probably nvr will be. I don't mind doing it because it's an official function or must-do kinda thingy. But if i have a choice, it's the sunny beaches or bustling cities for me. I really don't fancy jungle trekking and exploring or admiring the floral or fauna. I am usually too busy looking at the next step ahead of me and which step or roots shall i step on, instead of looking around me or looking at the leaves or trees or birds or whatever la.. My mind would be always thinking of "Are we there yet? Have we reached there yet? When is this going to end? Like quickly now..." Hahahha..My friends have asked every now & then to go climb Mount Kinabalu....and i will be like "Are u crazy?". And they will go like "think of the sense of achievement when you are up there.." and I will be like "It's ok...i can think of a lot of other things i can achieve without climbing a mountain" Hahhahaha....that's me...and me not loving the jungle much..

Anyways, back to the company trip, of course there was a jungle trekking excursion, and thank god, the guides did us a favour by doing the short cut route, or else...hmpt...i dunno man. And of course, my bloody muscles were aching after that. But like that la..what to do..Taman Negara. When in Rome, do what the Romans do..

Of course, there were drinking session. And Club 65 ..(the assigned drinking room). But i was only there for the first nite..2nd nite was an escape nite for me...went to bed early....hahahahah....

That's our company trip this year....to our local destination of Tmn Negara. 2009 was not such a great year for the agency, so boss had to do local instead.
Here's to great and fruitful 2010 ahead. So that we can go to a much further destination that has a different currency. Heee....
Cheeeeerrrrssss...

Ghost Rider's Bike

This is way overdated posting, but I thought I should still blog a short one on it. Though I am not a big bike enthusiast, but I thought this was way cool. Came across this on a Sunday trip down to Pavilion.

This is like Ghost Rider....Woh....

I LOVE X'MAS......FALALALALALALALA

I was at Pavilion on Tuesday for lunch, and their X'mas deco was nice...Have a look at a few shots I took. They had a reindeer sleigh flying off to the sky as well, but i didn't take that pic (lighting was not right..)

It's X'mas time!! I love X'Mas time. Though I am not a Christians or whatever, I still love X'mas. I love X"mas for the spirit of giving, love, celebrations and the holiday mood that it brings along with it. My family very kepoh-kepoh celebrate X'mas for the fun of it. The kids love it. The pressies that come with it. The adults love to buy the pressies, esp for the kids. The whole ambience of it....it's just so divine.
Merry X'Mas everyone....Hohohohooooooo

My Little Princess aka Boss

As of today, my little Faye is 3years 7 months ols. She has grown by leaps and bounds in the last few months, mentally and physically. She can now more or less hold a conversation with you, and these conversations usually gets me and my hubby smiling or laughing, cos her reactions or responses are usually quite out-of-the-blue, authentic and unexpected and damn cute. And she is now in her "What are you doing?" or "where are we now?" stage. And in her eyes (ours too of course), she's the Princess Faye Faye. Sometimes when she's in her "I want...(something)...mode", my hub and I would answer or tease her "Yes, Boss", she would answer back "I m not the boss, I am Princess Faye Faye". It's so funny..

And she loves to sing and dance,. Mostly sing. She can pick up notes and rhythms quite quickly. And then she would be singing it for the next few days. Her current favourites are songs from Kelly Clarkson, Bon Jovi, koko Daniel, Footloose and the most most recent one is the new commercial song from our local singer Shila for TM Connect.

I m very proud to say that she also loves to read. Not exactly like real reading yet, but she loves to pick up her children books, or sometimes my own books or magazines, and she would flip thru and look at pictures, and ask me "What's this Mommy? What's happening here?". I have been exposing her to books since she was a little baby, either reading to her, or just surrounding her with it (in her playroom or the bedroom) and I am glad that it is paying off somehow.

She's not afraid of people and she can just go up to a little boy or gal, and try to say something or hold their hands. And she would go "This is my friend". And that little boy or gal would usually just stare back at her and probably think who is this crazy weird little gal. A few would run to their parents. LOL...

I send my Princess to Tumble Tots every Sunday for a 1 1/2 session of interativity and fun learning. She loves it. We reckoned that's where she has her friends, she can sing, dance, and do creative artwork, and just tumble around. Because of this, we are really looking forward to her starting her Kindy sessions next year.
But of course, knowing the procastinators parents she has, we have not really decided which Kindy we will send her to....and it's already mid-Nov. Tsh tsk tsk bad mommy daddy...But we will, soon. No worries, cos there are tons of Kindies in Subang area...we hope.

It's a real blessing to see her everyday, in her antics. Sometimes in her tantrums where she would say "Throw this..throw that" or "Throw Mommy" "Throw Daddy", but most of the time it's the cutesy and adorableness of my Princess that wins me over.

It's been a challenge for me, esp lately, where it's been at times long hours at work, along with the stress and yet I have to handle my role as a Mommy. But so far, i have been able to handle, to the best capability that I can. My hubby too...These past few years have been a whole new journey for both of us. But with Princess Faye aka Boss with us, we wouldn't have it any other way (other than lesser stress and hours at work would be far better....hmmm..)

With much love and kisses and hugz to my little Princess Faye....

Holidays oh la la....I love them...

Wilson's side
My side
Did i ever tell you guys that I love the holidays? The longer the better. And i love festive seasons. I love the Kong Hee Fatt Choys, the Hari Rayas and the X'Mas and the New Years. I love them all because it is for me a time of family get-togethers, with my side and my husband's side. We get together, we eat, and we just be merry.. Yes, it's tiring at times, but the feeling of family is all worth it.
This Raya holidays were no different. Because there areMuslims converts in both my side and Wilson's side, so, the 1st two days of Raya was like visiting time for us. My youngest sister Amy and brother Danial both married Malay, and hence are Islam coverts. Wilson's cousin Kat also the same.
The 1st day of Raya, we were at Kat's house 1st, then to my sis's house, for superb rendang and lemang feast. Then today 2nd day, we were at my bro's house. Being in their homes of different culture and race usually humbles me, with their own family members so willingly accepts us into their homes. That was when i really felt "1 Malaysia".
I don't have a photo of yesterday's and today's to share, but i am sure I have this quite close to my heart to share it even with words only in this blog.

Selamat Hari Raya...Maaf Zahir & Batin...

(oh oh..but i do have pictures of my side and Wilson's side of family to share in this blog.. just for memories sake..). My side is about a 1 1/2 year ago (yup yup time to take another updated one), and Wilson's side was this CNY.
(Love you all Uncles, Aunties, Po po, Kung Kung, cousins, nieces, nephew, etc..)

My 9 to 5 and abit later...

My birthday came and went last Saturday. I m so totally 39 years old, and feeling good about it. Took Friday off, and took a short weekend trip to Pangkor Island Resort. Will write about the trip a little later.
But before I left for my leave on Friday, my dearest team gave me a surprise birthday present. They came over to my place and gave me a Moleskin Notebook. Lovely!!! I love the Moleskin..it's the best notebook on Planet Earth. The paper quality is damn superbly smooth, and the ink will just glide on effortlessly. (check out www.moleskin.com) I loved it...THANK YOU gals!!

And this is the picture of my team mates from the office. I am totally blessed to be in their space. They are a bunch of great people, with so different personalities to learn and grow with...
There is from left:-
Linda - the new addition to the family. Don't really know her indepth yet, but she has showed signs of strength and reliability. And she has this Japanese cuteness about her, from the way she talks, to the clothes she wears...
Me - me, myself and I....
Zazza - the wild child of the family. Always have her own agenda, which is usually most of the time completely opposite to the team's direction. So, most of the time, I call her Miss Sotong. She's still finding her calling in life, which I m sure she will pretty soon. And when she does, I know she will shine and make great results from them.
Shoniya - the Miss Pretty. Always the most well dressed, always prim and proper. The youngest in the whole team. But though she's that, don't let her age and looks fool you - she's a little cili padi in the making. She's a tough cookie and completely full of potential.
Lee - ahhh....what can I say about this awesome lady. She's the power and strength of the team. She's the roots that bind all of us together. Yes, she at times has her personal mental demons to fight, but most of time, she gets over them and is driven by her commitment to the people around her. I m totally honoured to have her in my space. Thanks so much for teaching me about commitment and unconditional love, my GS MM.

So, that's my team in my humble office.

"Superman" - Five for Fighting.

Beautiful in the Sky...

Saw this beautiful scenerio when I was driving to work one morning. I immediately took out my phone and snapped it while my other other hand was handling the steering wheel. It was like as if The Mightly Power above was telling all of us that there is always a light, and here....take my hand, and hence the simmering rays of lights thru the clouds.

This shot is also sitting on my notebook desktop now.

So inspiring...

My Pirates

My inspirations...aren't they cute?
My little gal is in her "lurve the pirates" mood. Everything also pirates pirates. She found my hub's head bandannas in the room one day, and insisted on wearing it to be a pirate. And she wanted to Daddy to do the same to be the Daddy Pirate.

So, there you go...the Pirates of my Heart.

The Loves of my Life...

These two are my biggest inspiration in life :- my hubby and my little gal. I live my whole life for them. My hub Wilson is my rock, my super man. Without him, I wouldn't be the woman that i am today. We have been married for 10 years, and like all marriages, we have our ups and downs. There are times when I questioned my commitment, or times when I feel like killing him (that's when i give him the stare...ask him, he knows..grin). And i m sure visa versa to him as well. Having said all these, I really cannot imagine my journey of life without him. He so completes me. Mwah mwah da, love u so much.

And my little gal...Faye, she is my light bulb. She embodies spontaneity, adventure, passion, love and beauty. She makes me laugh with her love, her cuteness and her naivety. Of course there are times she drives me crazy with her stubbornness and her tantrums. But she knows how to twirl me around her fingers, when she comes over to me, with her big innocent eyes and her smiles and her hugs and kisses. I love her so much with my heart and soul. Everything about me is about her. Love you little sweetheart, mommy is always here for you, no matter what!!!

Hello there....I am here!!!

I have been convoluted to start my own personal blog for the longest time. Mainly because I could not find an angle or a strong reason on why I should start one and why should I maintain one. And also do i have the time in the world? What do I write on? My family? my hubby? My little gal? My work? My day-to-day life? My passion (which at this point of time other than my family is zilch)? The environment? Politics (which i don't really care shit)? Technology (huh?) Fashion (lagi huh??) WHAT?

Until one day sometime last week, I found out that a friend of mine passed away. To leukaemia, diagnosed in April 09. It was so sudden. She was not like a close friend or anything like that, but we did crossed path and worked together about 2 years back during TM days. And she was a vivacious, bubbly and passionate woman. Full of life and strong headed. So, when i heard about her demise, I felt very saddened at such a huge loss to this space that i lived in. It was so sudden as if a precious life was taken away just like that.
Anyways, to bring the whole thing together, I thought of her as an inspiration to this precious world that we lived in. And then.....I started thinking of "hey....why don't I write my own personal blog based on whatever that inspires me (or not)?" It could be anything...surely life is about inspirations and aspirations. For myself, my loved ones and everyone and everything else.

So....there.....welcome to my blog...my blog that I have decided to name "Moonstruck Mum" because I m a Moon (Yuet in chinese...grin) and i m moonstrucked by life. And I am a mum to a beautiful little gal. Whom I hope one day she will read thru my writings and thots and know what inspired her mom.

So, here's to you Ozlin Ozair...here's for inspiring me to start my blog. May you rest in peace my dear friend.
